A late-Victorian property in the heart of Edinburgh, the Carlton Hotel sits on North Bridge, opposite Waverley Station and a stone’s throw from Princes Street. Given the building’s historic status, the rooms do tend to vary in size and layout, but they’re all sumptuously decorated. You can avail yourself of a wide range of facilities including a bar, a brasserie and a leisure club with pool.

lounge area at bar very open... pool is small an the male shower room was not the nicest, but these are minor matters.... Showers in leisure facilities need updating ... Fabulous having swimming, spa and gym facilaties ... excellent facilities... Spa is good ... swimming area and pool was very shoddy ... Delicious afternoon tea! ... they do some great cocktails in the bar... hotel was looking a little tired, especially the leisure facilities. ... Dining area needs re-decoration ... The swimming pool was very small and very crowded at busy times... we found it expensive for parking ... the hotel car parking its just a short distance away ... The Reception area was very plush ... Hotel restaurant service and food excellent...
