Our Review

The Central Hotel (Formerly Tailors Hall) has recently been taken over by the G1 Group and boasts 42 comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. They are tidy, spacious and equipped with tasteful and functional furnishings and all feature the necessary amenities. The hotel is accessed via a secluded cobbled courtyard and is situated in the lively Cowgate area of Edinburgh, a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile. This hotel caters for primarily young clientele, so it should be avoided by those looking for a peaceful armosphere!

Really good location... Location was convenient... Next to a noisy bar.... Good centre for site seeing. ... easy access to everywhere... very close to the royal mile ... located near a very busy pub, which is open until 3am... walking distance from the royal mile... The hotel is in perfect position... just off the royal mile and grassmarket ... perfect location for young crowd who like a lively nightlife ... Immediately adjacent to outdoor bar area... very central location ... easy access to nighlife... Did not realise what a noisy place it is to stay... noisy revellers...
