A late-Victorian property in the heart of Edinburgh, the Carlton Hotel sits on North Bridge, opposite Waverley Station and a stone’s throw from Princes Street. Given the building’s historic status, the rooms do tend to vary in size and layout, but they’re all sumptuously decorated. You can avail yourself of a wide range of facilities including a bar, a brasserie and a leisure club with pool.

I would suggest asking for a room away from the road. It is noisy ... For what we paid, room was very small ... very nice room... very quiet ... Rooms were very good ... the best I've stayed in for a long time,... very classy ... the bed(although huge!) was very uncomfortable... Very good sized rooms ... peaceful... beds very comfortable ... Room was very spacious... Huge room ... . Nice large room... Rooms clean. Bed comfortable with very 'white' bed linen. ... felt like a single room in a 2 star....
