Our Review

The Central Hotel (Formerly Tailors Hall) has recently been taken over by the G1 Group and boasts 42 comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. They are tidy, spacious and equipped with tasteful and functional furnishings and all feature the necessary amenities. The hotel is accessed via a secluded cobbled courtyard and is situated in the lively Cowgate area of Edinburgh, a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile. This hotel caters for primarily young clientele, so it should be avoided by those looking for a peaceful armosphere!

Breakfast service was a bit disorganised ... staff always courteous. ... Staff were helpful enough ... a bit vague when asked for any assistance... staff and premises generally scruffy... Very friendly and helpful staff ... the service excellent... breakfast was outstanding as were the attentions of the staff... It seemed to be an inconvenience for the receptionist to book us in!... Good room service,... friendly and helpful staff... The hotel is manned by students who don't care....
